Heavy T - “Rap Monster”
This is the second music video that Cardigan Productions has put together for Heavy T. This was shot in November and December 2022 and first put out via the video on T’s Youtube Channel. The song carries a lot of emotional weight from Heavy T as he mentions the street he was born and raised on, Grandview Street. He wanted a more gritty and aggressive feel compared to the last video and had mentioned many older music videos as references which made me get the idea to shoot the whole video on an old Sony Handycam. We were also able to get some clips from a place very close to his heart, Barrios Unidos in Santa Cruz, where he makes his music and performs live shows at constantly.
